(Legally "Steve Harold Wilkins" so looking for "Stephen" won't help. Not the cricketer nor the gay-rights activist, albeit I found good pics of them. Steve died in December at age 70, but no pics in the death notices that I could find.)

What's the specific button in facegen settings to hit for adding fg_files to an existing save? I renamed the original, dropped the new one in as fg_files, and ran "update/generate player pictures for MLB" but it didn't take. I don't see "Check all picture files of all teams and leagues"

The Orioles have been taking a long look at Pete Torrez this spring. He has finished three seasons starting at AA Charlotte and in OTL, he's about to start four years in the 'pen for AAA Rochester. And while he (obviously) never took that final step, he was well-enough thought of that he stayed in the organization as a coach.

(The coach picture is from 1984, so IMO it is still representative of his playing days.)

I was impressed enough to trade for him, giving up one of those old middle-infielders the Mariners had accumulated. If Ed Crosby has a renaissance, I'll apologize, but I doubt I'll need to.

It might be best to do manually. I'm on FastSpring on a PC. When the game makes a facegen in your save, it stores it in a local cache so it doesn't have to keep referring back to the fg_files folder.

The cache is located here:

C:\Users\NAME\Documents\Out of the Park Developments\OOTP Baseball 25\saved_games\SAVEDGAME.lg\news\html\images

In that folder are the person_pictures and profile_pictures folders (and also the HOF plaques, etc.). If you remove everything in those two folders (with the exception of the default_profile_picture and the default_player_photo files respectively), the game will think it is looking for that player's facegen file for the first time and regenerate (and store there) a new image in the cache.

I'm actually the one person that never has to do this since I do faces one by one as I redo them and never en masse! If others have an easier way, let Hollerado know - thanks!

Are these young players or players from decades ago? For minor league requests, context (years played, organization, etc) helps ensure I don’t do the father when you want the son! Thx!

I'll see what I can do. I see Amazin' posted two photos of Kent Burdick in the forum twelve years ago. Much obliged!

So I'm trying to get this to work still. I subscribed to it on steam workshop, opened workshop central ingame and installed, and started a new save so there wouldn't be a cache problem. I attached what Jeferson Quero looks like in my game and I believe this is what he's supposed to look like?. Any advice would be appreciated

Add Quero manually to the fg_files folder. Everything since game release day will be in the NEXT upload I do. Probably in three weeks. That’s why for things on the thread here many download the one off files. Because they are new. Look up Don Mattingly. If he has a stash, it’s installed.

Oh, after you add Quero go to his player editor page and auto refresh the fg

Edit: to find the folder go to File>Settings>troubleshooting and open folder with customizable data. It’s a button to take you there.

perc, the one I have should be in the pack. Looks fine on the PC. Looks like I did him on 12/30/23.

I don't think it was longer with the Astros. To curl it down, I'd just make the mouth less wide and make him frown.

Goes faster than I thought it would be... glad it isn't a mountain of works considering we are probably less than 10 guys playing that era. Thanks!


BTW thanks for doing the Union Association and the Player League too... I didn't dare to ask since none of the stats line show up for any of those teams players (this is why I didn't bother to create those two in OOTP24... too much manual work to do for not much reward).

Okay it is working then, thanks for the help. So since I used the workshop, one day whenever you're ready you'll publish the new version and steam will grab it for me? Then I just reinstall it in game?
