(2) La Romana Azules 🇩🇴 VS. (1) Las Tunas Rojos 🇨🇺

Game One -- La Romana RHP Ruben Gomez 🇩🇴 limits Las Tunas to two runs and pitches into the 7th inning for the Game One win.





Game Two -- After falling behind 5-0 early, Las Tunas storms back late in the game to tie the series at one. 1B Guillermo Gutierrez's 🇨🇺 7th-inning go-ahead homer earns him player of the game.





Game Three -- Las Tunas takes the lead in the 7th inning, and C Miguel Guardado's 🇨🇺 first career grand slam twists the knife as the Rojos take a 2-1 Serie DominiCubana lead.





Game Four -- The Rojos push the Azules to the brink with a well-pitched Game Four, with this year's Liga Cubana ERA champ RHP Antonio Muro 🇩🇴 coming out of the bullpen and providing two hitless innings to hold the lead and make the series 3-1.





Game Five -- Las Tunas starts planning the parade after C Miguel Guardado's 3rd homer of the series in the top of the 7th, but their excitement is short lived before La Romana OF この ただひさ / Tadahisa Kono 🇯🇵 answers with a go-ahead 2-run homer of his own in the bottom of the inning. The Azules stay alive.





Game Six -- Both starters are brilliant, but neither goes particularly deep in this pitching duel; it's La Romana RHP Carlos Madrigal's 🇩🇴 bullpen that keeps it together to force a Game Seven.





Game Seven -- A home run in the second inning gives La Romana the lead, and they keep Las Tunas at arms length until the bottom of the 9th inning when who else but C Miguel Guardado 🇨🇺 hits an RBI triple and becomes the game-tying run 90 feet away. The comeback, though, is not to be, as the very next pitch is a season-ending flyout. La Romana wins their third straight Serie DominiCubana title! Azules 3B Ismael Romero, who hit .500 from Game Five on, wins series MVP.

Game Two -- For the second game in a row, Khon Kaen's offense sleeps through their alarm, being shut down this time by RHP อัน ตรัน / An Tran 🇹🇭. 2-0 Hat Yai.





Game Three -- The top of Khon Kaen's lineup continues to suck in Game Three, with their top-5 hitters going 1-for-15 combined. However, their bottom-four pick up the slack, combining to hit 5-for-14 and scoring all 4 Khxb ra runs to get a badly-needed win to make the series 2-1. 1B ห่าว-ง็อกง็อก / Hao-Ngoc Ngo's 🇹🇭 go-ahead 2-run homer in the 6th earns him player of the game.





Game Four -- In a game where nobody homers, Khon Kaen RHP มินห์-ตง หง / Minh-Tong Ng 🇹🇭 shuts down Hat Yai. Just like that, it's a whole new series.





Game Five -- In his second start of the series, Hat Yai RHP ลอยซัม / Loi Sam 🇹🇭 goes the distance, but gives up two runs and takes the loss, bested by Khon Kaen LHP ไหมลู่ / Mai Lu's 🇹🇭 6.2 one-run innings. After starting the series down 2-0, Khon Kaen is one game away from becoming the first-ever ซีรี่ย์ไทย / Thai Series champions.





Game Six -- Not dead yet, Hat Yai responds as the series returns to their home field by clobbering Khon Kaen. This one gets out of hand in the late innings thanks in part to a pair of RBI and another run scored by 3B Jim Eversole 🇺🇸. That means Game Seven, tomorrow night.





Game Seven -- With the first ever Thiy Lik championship on the line, Khon Kaen and Hat Yai engage in a classic pitchers duel, with a pair of unearned runs in the 4th inning for the Thang Yæk off a 2B นาม เงีย / Nam Nghia 🇹🇭 error the only difference. Hat Yai starter RHP กีรานา มุลจานา / Kirana Muljana 🇹🇭 gets the Game Seven win, while 2B เตียนเนียน / Tiet Nien 🇹🇭 is named Thai Series MVP, as well as overall THL Playoff MVP.

Medan plays with fire and comes out alive in this series against heavy underdog Surabaya, dropping all three games on the road but winning every game at home to advance to the Filip-Indo Series for the third straight year. Warisan OF Basuki Binnowee 🇮🇩 makes up for his awful regular season with a series MVP performance.












Medan will play for a third consecutive Filip-Indo Series title, while Manila hopes to bring the first FIL title to the Philippines in seven years...

Game Two -- Almati takes a second straight win on the road, with #9 hitter OF Виталий Мигуля / Vitaly Migulya's 🇰🇿 2-run homer in the 4th giving them a lead they never relinquish.





Game Three -- The Troleibuz stalls in Game Three versus RHP Руслан Жевахов / Ruslan Zhevakhov 🇰🇿, and the Kospendiler are one game away from becoming the inaugural SOL champions.

Alpen OF Jason Boon 🇳🇱 wins Wild Card MVP, going 3-4.

The fight for the two wild card spots comes down to the final day of the season, with Seoul finishing the year with a sweep of Goyang to steal the 5th seed, as Goyang is forced into a tiebreaker with Suwon. Changwon has a shot at forcing a 3-way tiebreaker, but loses their last two to Ulsan to end their season.
In the tiebreaker game, Goyang beats Suwon 5-3 to make the playoffs at 30-31.

Cancun, meanwhile, stuns Monterrey by winning the final three games of their regular season series to force a tiebreaker, then shutting out the Mariposas in Game 71 to steal the 4th playoff spot.

Game Two -- Innsbruck RHP Armin Schwab 🇦🇹 shuts down Salzburg to take a 2-0 series lead.





Game Three -- Salzburg puts up all the fight they've got, but they fall apart in the middle innings as this one gets ugly. Innsbruck 1B Manfred Lueger 🇦🇹 becomes the first OML player with a hat trick in a playoff game, and the Alpen are one win away from becoming the first Austria-Hungary Series champs.





Game Four -- On the brink of elimination, Salzburg finally gets something going with a low-scoring win to shave their series deficit to 3-1. Innsbruck native RHP Guenther Hornbostel 🇦🇹 pitches into the 7th and gets the win versus his hometown team, and the Pisten live to fight another day. On the other side, one day after he became the first OML player with three homers in a playoff game, 1B Manfred Lueger 🇦🇹 becomes the first OML player to strike out five times in a playoff game.





Game Five -- Salzburg (1st) and Innsbruck (2nd) had the two best pitching staffs in the OML this year, and Game Five gives us the pitchers' duel we've been waiting for. Pisten RHP Gernot Zedlacher 🇦🇹 comes out ahead in this one with six shutout innings to make the series 3-2.





Game Six -- On their third try at clinching the series, Innsbruck looks to be in good shape when they tie the game in the 8th inning, but Salzburg holds them off the board for the next seven innings before 3B Guenther Lischka's 🇦🇹 walk-off single in the 15th inning to force a Game Seven.





Game Seven -- Energized from their huge win in Game Six, Salzburg grabs an early lead in Game Seven, and starts popping the champagne in the 5th inning when a rally started by DH Simon Peithner's 🇦🇹 3-run homer sends 15 men to the plate, scores 10, and the Pisten walk off the field with a 13-0 lead. With a reverse sweep, the Salzburg Pisten are the inaugural Österreich-Magyar Liga champions! Game Four -- In a game that looks eerily similar to Game Three, OF Gordon Parent 🇨🇦 hits another big home run, this time it's a go-ahead grand slam in the 8th inning that's spoiled by a Vancouver answer in the bottom of the 9th. Fear not though, First Nations, 2B Jack Ives 🇨🇦 saves the day in the top of the 10th.





Game Five -- The First Nations Challengers have won their third consecutive Canada Series! The streets of Vancouver are ablaze as the Nine fall to the Challengers once again, tonight in a blowout. Game Three -- With the series tied 1-1, this game goes back and forth. Ostravy ties it in the 9th to send it to extras, but they only delay the inevitable as Pardubic scores three in the top of the 12th to take the lead back, this time hanging onto it. An RBI single by DH Blahoslav Schlesinger 🇨🇿 goes down as the game-winning run.




Game Four -- The last thing Ostravy needs after using eight pitchers last night is another extra-inning game, so of course that's exactly what they get. RHP Metodej Budai 🇨🇿 enters the game in the 10th on less than 24 hours rest and gives up the game-winning run via two wild pitches. Pardubic pushes the series to 3-1.




Game Five -- For the second time in three years, the Pardubic Hrebci are Ceska Liga champions! For the third night in a row, Ostravy loses in extra innings and goes home wondering what could have been. Hrebci OF Miroslav Novak 🇨🇿 follows up his triple-crown regular season with Ceska Serie MVP.

London takes care of business quickly in this sweep, with a blowout in Game One, and a shutout in Game Two that earns RHP Harrison Head 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 series MVP.












(10) Dublin Irish 🇮🇪 VS. (7) Cordoba Plateros 🇪🇸

The bats crack loudly and often in this series, and when the dust settles it's Cordoba who moves on to the next round. C Per Friis-Knutzen 🇩🇰 homers in both games and captures Wild Card MVP.

Amsterdam wins a quiet Game One on the road before a marathon Game Two that takes 15 innings to decide. Amsterdam gets a two game sweep and moves on to the round of 8. OF Wouter van Vegchel 🇳🇱 is named series MVP.
