Re: Matt Blood… he got a promotion in the offseason. He’s now VP of player and staff development. (So if anything, what should happen to him is that his primary role should be changed to GM and not scout.)

William Robertson (born 3/2/1995) has taken over Blood’s old job as VP of domestic scouting; he will be overseeing the O’s draft operations in July. The game has it correct as-is.

Most of this and the other contract stuff higher up is done now, with a few exceptions where our tools are not set up to handle things (We'll try to add in the functionality before long. None of it is especially hard to do, but like everything, it takes time, which is a limited commodity).

List of some of the things that can't currently be updated...

Multiple player and team options are not done.
Contracts longer than 10 years will still have year 11 on as 'extensions'.
Vesting options not available.
No-trade clauses not available.
Can't currently mark players who already received qualifying offers.

As we mentioned a few places, there's a minor bug where a few guys get released before the rosters are set.

Given these are typically guys the AI would release soon anyway, it's not that big a deal.

Still is something we're looking at fixing.

The AI keeps changing my roster which doesn't allow me to set my roster to start the season.

1. I am in "Commissioner mode." I control the team.
2. I have control of all the "Team Control Settings."
3. Under League Settings, I have "Set all teams to not allow AI roster changes."
4. The AI has the ability to control all, non-human team, but my team is managed by myself so it shouldn't be changing my rosters.

I do it over and over again and as soon as I start the season, my active roster changes, which alters all the work I did to set my rotation, bullpen, staring lineups vs L and R, and my depth charts. I can't even get the season started.

Is this a bug? What am I doing wrong? Any help would be appreciated. I am able to play the game in a historical simulation, right now doing the 96' World Series between the Braves and Yankees. I started this season with the Dodgers vs Diamondbacks. The problem is happening with my own created rosters in a regular game. I didn't create a new league, I just started a new game, edited the rosters of each team based on players from 1980-present. I have an active roster, 40-man roster and minor league affiliate for each team.

I just finished the first game of the season. I even used the lock player strategy so that the AI cannot promote/demote a player and after I finished the game and went to start day 2, the entire roster was messed up again with players (who were locked, I did it with all, active roster players). Players were moved up and down from the active to 40-day and vice versa. I am not using the build a team/general manager/franchise mode. I am only trying to simulate games for an entire season. This is a real issue because I cannot keep going back and changing my roster every time I want to play the next game.

When you control the team in commish mode, the AI is still running the team as well.

You only fully control the team when you fully take the job through the jobs screen.

I;m sorry, I forgot to add that part to my post. I am the team manager. With all that I listed, that is why I am asking because it is still altering my roster while I am in commish mode, am the manager and GM of team, the AI does not have the ability to change human controlled teams, I even strategy locked each player so that the AI does not have the ability to promote/demote players and it still changes after every game.

Any way you all could clean up the coach FA list too? Obviously it can't be perfect but I hate seeing ML teams hiring random Korean or Australian guys or Stef Vleugel (does he even exist?) to manage lol.

Also any plans to do what you did last year and add the extensions midseason? Really appreciated that and I think a lot of others did too. McGonigle, Emerson, etc.

On coaches, we'll see. The Korean guys are going to be there, since the leagues share the coaches pool. But yeah, some of the other random and fictional guys, would definitely make sense to clean those up at the same time.

Extensions are already added in, will be in the next patch.

From what you're describing, I'm pretty sure you're just controlling the team as commish, not actually managing them from taking the job on the jobs screen.

So two ratings I think are decently off: Masyn Winn and Kevin McGonigle are at 71% and 79% sprint speed respectively on statcast, but both grade out (with 100% scouting on) in-game at 45 speed. I'm not sure what those ratings would translate to in-game but seems like at least 60?
