Charles "Johnny" or "Babe" Hobson, P/SS/OF, played for the LIncoln Giants, Bacharach Giants, and Richmond Giants during the 1922-25 period. He is shown here in an unidentified uniform.

Benjamin "Ben" Holmes was a third baseman with Argyle Hotel, the Cuban Giants, and the Trenton Cuban Giants during the 1885-89 period.

Reginald "Reggie" Howard was an infielder for the Indianapolis Clowns during the 1950's. He is shown here as an older man in street clothes. In the photo on the right, he was participating on a discussion panel on Negro League baseball and apparently was lost in his thoughts when the camera clicked.

William DeHart Hubbard was the secretary of the Cincinnati Tigers from 1934 to 1937 and the Cincinnati Buckeyes in 1942. The photo on the left is a portrait of him from 1924, around the time he won an Olympic gold medal in the long jump. The photo on the right shows him in his University of Michigan track uniform in 1924.

Fidelio Hungo, 1B/OF, is shown in the uniform of the Long Branch Cubans. This player was listed as unknown-first-name Hungo in the Negro Baseball Register, by Dick Clark and Larry Lester.

Alex Irwin, SS, is shown in a Chicago Unions uniform. Alex played for the Chicago Unions in 1905, the Chicago Leland Giants in 1906, and the Minneapolis Keystones in 1908.

Calvin "Cal" Irvin was an infielder for the Newark Eagles in 1946. He is pictured here as the coach of the North Carolina A&T basketball team, where his successful seasons landed him in the North Carolina Sports Hall of Fame. Cal is the brother of another Hall-of-Famer - Monte Irvin.
