The St. Louis Cardinals have optioned outfielder Jack Lausch and left-handed relief pitcher Julio Robaina to AAA Memphis and called up outfielder Max Williams and lefty reliever Reggie Crawford from the Redbirds.
Lausch, 24, earned the starting center fielder job in spring training and had a good start to his season.
But he has struggled as the season has progressed.
In 60 games/56 starts for the Cardinals, Lausch has hit .219 with five home runs and 19 RBIs.
The 27-year-old Robaina has pitched in 12 games for St. Louis going 0-0 with a 7.11 ERA.
This will be the first time in the majors for the 23-year-old Williams.
At AAA this season, he has hit .266 with 14 home runs and 33 RBIs in 58 games/57 starts.
The Cardinals acquired Williams with an eighth-round pick in the 2025 draft.
Crawford, who the Cardinals acquired in a trade with San Francisco in November of 2026, has always had a lot of upside but has never seen it pan out.
Between the Cardinals and Giants, he has six games of major-league experience going 0-1 with an 8.44 ERA.
This season he has worked in 23 games at Memphis posting a 4-3 record with two save but a 6.45 ERA.

The St. Louis Cardinals have placed outfielder Corbin Carroll on the 10-day injured list after he suffered a bruised lung during a 20-1 win over the Pittsburgh Pirates on June 24.
Carroll, 27, is expected to be sidelined for two weeks.
He has split time between the Cardinals and AAA Memphis this season, having begun the season in the majors before being demoted after a poor start.
In eight games with the Cardinals, Carroll has hit .192 with one homer and six RBIs.
At Memphis, Carroll has played 27 games hitting .380 with four home runs and 15 RBIs.
Lausch, 24, began the season as the Cardinals starting center fielder and had a strong start to the season before fading in May and into June.

The St. Louis Cardinals have acquired left-handed relief pitcher Victor Gonzalez from the Los Angeles Dodgers in a trade which saw both teams include four players.
Gonzalez, 32, has pitched in 26 games for the Dodgers this season going 3-0 with a 2.23 ERA.
He has played his entire career in L.A., breaking in with the Dodgers in 2020.
In 125 games for his career, he has gone 13-2 with one save and a 2.72 ERA.
Going to Los Angeles are 25-year-old catcher Jake Burns and 20-year-old shortstop Jorge Toribio.
St. Louis also acquired 24-year-old second baseman Jack Goodman.
