Stl_jason You posted a few days ago in this thread but I definitely need to mention that your custom Waffletown jersey is AWESOME. Where do you buy something like that? I assume it was some online custom shirt place.

Time to sell off some Live Missions rewards and non-Pirate cards.

The fact that Langston is so ubiquitous almost made me say no to him, but, in the end, the fact that I like him as a player, and have not had him PT, made me play him. As for Lumberton, my guess is that they may have not tagged you. Also, my two auto-pilot former OL teams, use the friends list, but never show up, I'm guessing because there's no cross-pollination. Baptism of fire for Paxville as they've landed in Cary's division, who we meet for the very first time!
My ambition for this week is hopefully a relatively painless relegation (I'd really like a few more than 44 wins). Anything better than that would be a bonus .

Speaking of Prates themes, I, even though I was a Mets fan from 1962, have always had a soft spot for the Pirates because of Maz's homer in 1960, my first real exciting baseball memory. With that in mind, I have attached screen shots of my Pirates players. You can have any of them (unless they are locked) for the L10 minus a 10% OL discount. The only thing I would ask is that if you want Phil Garner, and he ever comes off your active roster, you offer him back to me. He's been my 3b against LHP and back-up 2b since the start. He was, in fact, my first diamond pull this year. I'll check who's locked and post it later. Just DM me or e-mail to kidheckett@gmail.com who you'd like. Uh, since they're the Pirates, make it a 20% discount.

Locked Pirates
There's only a few. They are:
Dario Agrazal Andrew McCutcheon Tom Gorzelany Jeff Locke (of course) By the way, I just noticed how large Garner's last 10 is. You can have him for 5K, if you want, but we should coordinate the upload and buy now time carefully, to make sure you get him. I'd hate for him to go away to the "enemy" that cheaply. |

Six teams. Daytona Beach, Inland Empire and South Holland may struggle to get enough OL games. Gettysburg, West Burlington, and Las Vegas should have plenty.

Four teams. Shoebox and Hartford will play enough OL games for title.

As for the friends list-I almost missed the Lab Rats. I thought for sure I had them and almost didn't bother didn't bother to check. Seemed like Sugar Hill and Lumberton were at least connected so who knows.... |

I did say Pirates theme but I should of said Pittsburgh since I plan on eventually including Negro League players as well. And to start off I have included any player who has played in a Pittsburgh uniform. That is why I have Moises Alou in RF. Apparently he played 2 games for the Pirates at the start of his career. Who knew? HaHa

Is Homestead in Pittsburgh or the surrounding area? I know of the Pittsburgh Crawfords but didn't know Homestead was based in Pittsburgh as well.

I had been looking online for a place that lets you customize a jersey but most I came across had minimum orders (anywhere from 8 to 12) which was way more than I needed or wanted to spend... then some random ad popped up in my social media feed that had no minimum order... it didn’t offer the range of color customization that the other sites had, but figured I would give em a shot (site is fiitgshop.com)... base jersey was $25, then add in the custom name on front, back, number, and sleeve patch (just uploaded a jpeg file of the syrup ad), ended up running around $55 overall with the add ons and shipping.... took awhile to get made and shipped (ordered on 4/27, it arrived 5/28), but all in all they did some nice work for the price. Homestead is across the Monongahela River from Pittsburgh, but by 1920, the Grays played their games in Pittsburgh, at both Forbes Field and Greenlee Field, the Crawfords park, sharing, at times, players, and maybe even ownership. By 1940, they began playing about half their home games in Washington, eventually getting up to about two-thirds of their schedule. At that time they were sometimes called the Washington Grays or Washington Homestead Grays. Among the Negro League players who played for the Grays were Cool Papa Bell, Josh Gibson, Oscar Charleston, Martin Dihigo, Judy Johnson, Willie Wells, Buck Leonard, and Smokey Joe Williams, among others. An early warning - the Road Dogs lived up to their name and took three early bites out of the Mundys at Glorious Mundy Stadium to start this season. They keep this up and the Pirate discount for their stable mate goes down accordingly.
