Mike Judd Expos (Facepack modification?)
Mike Judd never played for the Expos.
He signed as a free agent for the team in december 2003 but never played in the MLB after. He played 4 years for the Dodgers (1997-2000). |

Rich Becker 1993 - 1998 Mets uniform
Becker played for six teams in MLB, but he's only in the Batters Pack as a Twin and a Brewer (the 1990s listings still only being partly complete). Don't know what I can do about his days in Baltimore, Detroit or Oakland, but I can at least help with the Mets.
This is a good picture, but with that damn black cap that Charlie "Memorastealia" Samuels was so fond of (then-Mets equipment manager, later revealed as a thief, whom you practically had to hold down to let the Mets wear their traditional blue caps), it's tough to see against the dark background. Fortunately, Becker had been something of a prospect coming up with the Twins, so he still appeared on a couple of cards that year, before being squeezed out of the sets entirely in his later years. Here's his Upper Deck card, both unabridged and with the card printing cut away: Which, with a facial cutdown and a bit of adjustment to deal with the "dramatic" lighting, makes a good mugshot 90x135 image, IMO: Finally, I found a lovely blowup of Becker's Fleer Ultra card that year, but again the black cap and the angle of the head make it less-easily-identifiable than some may like. Still, I include it for completeness's sake: |

Bart Shirley 1966 - 1967 Mets uniform
Shirley came to the Mets as a Rule 5 draftee after his rookie season in L.A. His Mets image in the Batters Pack is B/W, and something of an overexposed blur, to boot. This Topps image has watermark issues at the larger sizes, but is still a distinct improvement, IMO.

Tom Edens 1987 UIN
It's annoying that I can't find a good (major league) picture of Edens, given how often-photographed the defending World Champions must have been. Even allowing that Edens only made two starts while Mets rotation was a disaster (Doc Gooden out on drug suspension; Sid Fernandez, Bob Ojeda and Rick Aguilera [then a starter] out with arm/shoulder issues; David Cone a pleasant rookie surprise, but then breaks a finger trying to bunt against Atlee Hammaker of the Giants) and couldn't take starts away from the likes of Terry Leach and John Mitchell, there should be (and probably are, somewhere) pictures of him as a Met.
But instead, all I have is the 1990s Mets comprehensive set from The Wiz; black and white, crappy photography, and once I sharpened the image, it appears that the "NY" on the cap is a paste job; he's probably actually in a Tidewater uniform or some such. But…better than nothing, I suppose. In various sizes, including my usual gratuitous sepia treatment of B/W pictures: |

Rich Hinton 1971 - 1972 Yankees uniform
After making his debut with the White Sox, Hinton was swapped to the Yankees (for Jim Lyttle) that off-season. (He would return to the Southsiders in 1975, thus being part of both the beginning and the end of the red uniforms/astroturf era at Comiskey.) He was with the Yankees for most of 1972, until he was sold to Texas in September.
Hinton/Yankees is not on the UIN list…but it isn't in the Pitchers' Pack, either. bearman14 put up a partial, shadowed image in this thread three years ago, but I definitely prefer this Topps picture of Rich squinting (winking?) in the Fort Lauderdale sun. Enjoy! |

Joe Ellick 1875
When clipping the image for my original Ellick post I had misinterpreted the IDs given for the team 1879 Washington Naitonals team photo, and the photo originally included in that post was not Ellick. Ellick is now shown both below and in my original post.
Thanks to bmarlowe for helping me sort it out!

Rich Becker
Nice images, tnfoto! Because of the small (90x135) size used in the game, I always prefer a headshot or something that can be cut down to that, so while the Oakland one fits my needs, I'm still hoping for better with the O's and Tigers, but thanks again.
I did manage to find a large enough scan of Becker's 2000 Pacific Private Stock Tigers card (and how hard up must Pacific have been that they were doing Rich Becker giveaways? No offense, Rich) that I could cut down a headshot, but it's a little rough, being a card blow-up and all: As for the Orioles, Becker did get a card in a regional Hostess set, or so The Great Orioles Autograph Project informs me. It's a nice card, but unfortunately, theirs is the only image of it online, and as they are an autograph site…well, I'm sure you can see the problem coming. Don't sign your chin, Rich. Jeez. Well, if any of our de-autographers want to take a shot, the base picture could work well in the Batters Pack. But for now, that's all I've got. |
