Things get a bit more lively, but Brooklyn still leads the way. Rumor has it they may play someone besides Columbia at some point before the season ends.

Mount Hawke inevitably dipped under .700, but managed a 5-1 month in OL. However, things are far from over. While Aomori and LA will only play three more against each other, each will get seven more games against the Tinners, to maybe exact some revenge!

Gold league:
Waxhaw looking for another Gold tier crown as we head down the final stretch. Still a lot of OL games remaining, so should be an interesting September run. Last edited by stl jason; 10-29-2022 at 06:58 AM. |

Coney Island takes command heading into the final month. Most teams play just three or four OL games down the stretch, though Brooklyn has nine left, and so looms large. I'm not bothering with Bronze until the final, as no team has made a run, so Long Beach has clinched.

Invaders and Landsharks on two separate paths in their quest for the title. Grovers Mill OL season is complete. SaukCentre has 17 OL games remaining on their schedule, two more than Grovers Mill's entire season.

Standings are virtually unchanged, with only 3 league games played yesterday. Final standings tomorrow.

Mount Hawke kept on rolling right up to the finish. They had some kind of RNG this week, but I'll take it
![]() Aomori takes the top wildcard spot, with the Tinners waiting in the DS. After a rough start, Los Angeles painstakingly clawed their way off the bottom, and eventually ended up clear of danger. Here's hoping for another chapter in Aomori and Mount Hawke's ongoing rivalry. Good luck! |

Coney Island fended off mild challenges to cop the crown. North Bay couldn't weather the Silver storm and heads back to Bronze.

Besides their Bronze OL crown, Long Beach was the only OL team to make the post season in PT.

Fort Davis washed over the competition and captured the OL St181 title. The Waves and New Zealand advance to the playoffs.

Gold league:
If you didn't pay attention to September in the Gold league, you missed a wild run. Waxhaw had a see-saw month of win one/lose two/win two/lose one/etc in OL play, going 7-6 for the month. Trying to chase them down, Waffletown had 9 games against Bushwood, hoping to keep their solid play going against the Caddies (8-2 so far to that point). Bushwood took 2-of 3 in the first series and looked to play spoiler for any hopes the Syrups might have had for another OL crown. Waffletown would run the table for the next two series, sweeping all 6 games to go 7-2 for the month. When the dust settled, Waffletown emerged with the razor thin lead to nab the OL crown. Overall, at the end of 162, Waxhaw and Claptown finished tied atop the NC West division and needed a tie breaker game to decide which team got the division crown, and which had to play in the wild card game. In game 163, Waxhaw jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead after the 1st inning; 3-0 after the 2nd; 7-1 after the 4th; and 8-1 after the 6th. Claptown made a late surge, scoring 5 runs in the top of the 8th to make it an 8-6 deficit, but that's as close as it would get as Waxhaw claimed the division title. The extra OL game moved Waxhaw within .006 of Waffletown but still left them frustratingly short. Post season: Waffletown will be the lone OL rep in the AC and will play in the wild card game (top seeded wild card, so expecting an early exit as usual). OL heavy in the NC side, with Waxhaw getting a bye into the LDS; Claptown will play Shinbone in the wild card; and Port Ruppert will play in the other wild card. Bushwood will be relegated back to Silver next season |

Hurrah! They've had a good deal of luck to get to that mark. I don't think Paxville made it to 10 last year. Speaking of which... This season will be Claptown's swansong, as the Paxville Kings ownership are ready to complete the purchase of the team. More news later.
