The next farm system is the Anchorage Polar Bears: Without really thinking about it until I finished up the Admirals, I then realized all three of the teams are coastal teams.

Hollywood Spoonbills (Single A): I got the idea for this team from a logo request from Michael Xavier. I used the New Orleans Pelicans logo and modified it to look like a spoonbill.

Gulfport Bull Sharks (Double A): Since Gulfport is located on the coast and Bull Sharks are pretty frequent, the name was chosen in a contest amongst the fans many years ago.

New Rochelle Admirals (Triple A): The President and co-owner of the Admirals was a former admiral in the US Navy and an avid baseball fan, hence the name.

Spartanburg Regiment (Single A): The Spartanburg Regiment names come from the Spartan Regiment that was involved in several key victories in the Revolutionary War. The reason for not using the Spartans, is because USC Upstate uses that name.
