Most fans remember him for that one play when every decent manager would have long taken him out with his bad ankles ... but he was a great ballplayer and a great competitor

One of the all-time great Brewers, who always played in the shadows of Yount, Molitor and the other more visible stars

Like Barry Bonds ... in my opinion he was a Hall of Famer before taking PED's ... anyway, the perfect transition from 22 to 21

As a young lad I'd visit my sisters in the Dallas area and we'd go to Texas Rangers games at Arlington Stadium. I use to love sitting in right field to watch Ruben Sierra. He had some really good years and was my first ever favorite player as a kid. I tried to emulate his leg kick in little league/ high school. Good times.

Right off the top of my proverbial head, if I remember correctly, didn't Teddy Higuera throw the no-hitter you just mentioned, circa 1986 to 1989? I don'r remember the exact year at the moment, but I do believe I remember reading about it at least once somewhere offline, at least, if not also online. CD out.
