Welday "Weldy" Walker was an outfielder who played for the Pittsburgh Keystones in 1887. He is shown here in his Oberlin College uniform. Welday also played in the major leagues in the 19th Century.

James Leslie Wilkinson
James Leslie "J. L." Wilkinson was the founder of the Kansas City Monarchs. He owned them from 1920 through 1947. He was also secretary of the Negro National League and treasurer of the Negro American League.

Bert Williams
Bert Williams was the owner of the Philadelphia Giants in 1923. Earlier, he was the manager and first baseman of the Williams and Walker Base Ball Club, a vaudeville baseball team. He was most known in the entertainment field as a comedian.

Jim Williams
Jim Williams was a first baseman and outfielder who played for the Newark Dodgers, New York Black Yankees, and Philadelphia Stars during the 1934-37 period. He is shown here in the uniform of the Indian Head Rockets. The Rockets were located in Saskatchewan, and played in the Western Canada League.

Lem R. Williams
Lem R. Williams was an outfielder with the Cuban Giants and Brooklyn All-Stars during the 1905-14 period. Later, he was an umpire in the Negro National League and an officer with the Cleveland Stars. He is shown here in an unidentified uniform. Update: This is a Cuban Giants uniform. I found the Cuban Giants team photo from which this head shot came.
