Hmm is this a community thread or is it appropriate that the community needs should take second place to the requirements of one individual. I assumed the purpose of this thread was to promote the colorizing of existing high quality images not the manufacture of fake images, have I got this wrong? Would it not be more productive to initiate a theme for colorizing images that exemplify teams adopting unusual cap colors. Examples such as the 1921 white cap Yankees, the 1931 white cap Brooklyn or the dark blue Reds or White Sox. The examples are numerous and would be representative of a productive step to illuminating these uniforms not a step in the direction of fabrication.


I would have expected the attached image to have met your requirements. As a general rule if you have such requirements for any images from 1947 onwards I would highly recommend Ceej's Annual Facepacks which are easily downloadable via his thread on this site.
