Don't sweat it, things happen. Some of the recent discussion makes me think that I have given the wrong impression about the two new awards, the Wooden Spoons Trophy, and the Joe McCarthy Plaque. They will be awarded each season to the teams with the lowest and the highest winning percentages across all OL leagues, respectively. They will only be based on OL games, 'cause Mama don't allow no PT stats in here. Last edited by Stanley Kuppchaser; 06-21-2021 at 03:48 PM. |

With four teams in one division it will make for an interesting OL race. If the four beat each other up it can open door for one of the other four to take the top spot. For the month of April at least Port Ruppert has the upper hand going 9-4, all against their OL NC East rivals. In the meantime New York takes the top spot after taking 3 of 4 from Boulder City.

Apologies for the LabRats and the Boomerangs being on autopilot the last couple weeks. I have been extremely busy, haven't even had time to fire up tourney entries via OOTP Go. They have not been abandoned.

Not a lot between the teams so far. Algoma went 0-7 to drop right down the standings, but plenty of time for a comeback!

New York still leads what is shaping up to be a very competitive week of OL competition.

Midweek results for Diamond league
This season, we have three teams in the AC (Lemp Ave, Nowhere Men, and Mad Brewers) and two in the NC (Cary and Annandale). However, the two in the NC are in the same division, ensuring that every team will have more than the requisite ten games --- although all of Cary and Annandale's games are against each other.
Here are the midweek standings: Mad Brewers 9-4 Cary 4-4 Annandale 4-4 Lemp Ave. 4-6 NoWhere Men: 4-7 So the Mad Brewers, despite being relative newbies to diamond, are showing the others the what-for... so-far.

Whatever Annandale took last week has definitely worn off!

Here's why...
We have three perfect league quality teams, with all the best players, in our division. My team is significantly improved from last season, but we can't compete with that.

Coney Island goes 7-3 to take the top of the OL standings at the halfway point of the season.
In PT play Asheboro, Coney Island and New York lead their divisions with Port Ruppert holding down a WC spot. In the AC there are 7 teams within one game of the second WC spot. That should make for an interesting second half. |

Ok, so it's really not looking good for Algoma now... Waffletown are still going along nicely in the league.

Bronze
Bronze at the halfway point. If some could do the final standings on Sunday that would be great. I have kept Sugar Hill in OL but I am not playing them.

If you need me to, I can do the standings for silver, or you could send me screenshots for the OL team vs team reports for bronze and I can do the final standings for you. By the way, that goes for any level. If no one can do the OL standings, you can send me screen shots on the last day, so we can determine the crown winner. I bring it up because there has been no indication that anyone will be doing stone this week. You can post them here on this thread or send them to my e-mail address that I have used for OL stuff. The e-mail address to send them to is: kidheckett@gmail.com |

I will finish off the week of Silver. The landscape of my work has changed since the pandemic so I want to contribute when I can as I don't have the time I had the last couple of years as regularly. On an OL note I'm enjoying the Mundy's and Warriors standing toe to toe in the middle of the ring this week. For the Warriors sake, as much as I want you to have him-I hope Willie Mays comes out next Thursday and not tonight

Not many games played has produced a tight race. All five teams will have enough games to qualify for the title.

Could be a nail biting-finish. If I had to, I'd put my money on Waffletown, but good luck predicting how the last couple of months of this season will play out! Can Boston go on to break their "curse"? On a different note. I'm sooo disappointed that (most of) the rewards for the FL missions are MORE FL cards!

Bronze
The race is heating up for the crown in Bronze. New York has jumped back into the lead. Yesterdays leader, Coney Island improved its winning percentage but fell all the way to 4th place.
PT wise Asheboro, Coney Island and New York lead their divisions. Port Ruppert has a hold of the top WC in the AC and is challenging Coney Island for the division lead. The NC WC shows Keystone 1.5 games behind. Currently Gettysburg and South Holland are in danger of being relegated. |

Some news out of Coney Island. I opened packs I earned from Saturday through Monday onTuesday, the only pulls of note where a diamond historical (Bill Sayles) and a silver rookie sensation Miguel Andujar. I also pulled a Carlos Correa live. He is at an 89 so I will hold him hoping for a +1 in July.
I sold both Sayles and Andujar (Sayles is on Sugar Hill and has been pretty average in iron and bronze). I had 8 completed missions and sold the 8 gold SE cards that were the reward. From the roster we sold Pop Williams and Bob Groom. We reinvested those points with the addition of Satchel Paige and took a flyer on Larry Anderson for the bullpen because the price was right. Like Sayles, Anderson only has two pitches but his movement and control are better and my bullpen has been lackluster. Ben Tincup who has become a fan favorite has been moved to the bullpen while George Uhle has been optioned to the reserve roster. If Tincup struggles Uhle could be back. |
