FaceGen not showing up?

Hey everyone,


I am seeming to have issues with my FaceGen, it's not appearing for some players. Additionally, is there anyway to overwrite the "real" player photos with face gens? Here is an example and here are my settings.

I've had this once or twice with facegen in OOTP16, this method works for me sometimes, I had updated historical facegen but for some reason Tim Lincecum had not updated for 2015. I went into his editor > Picture Function > and there are a few options one of the options fixed it, but as I'm downloading the patch right now I cannot go in and tell you exactly which one. I know its not import facegen or new fictional picture or same fictional.

Anyway it worked for Lincecum, however did not work for Mike Trout, when I finish the download of the patch I shall update this here, hope this helps a little!

Would I have to do that individually for every player that doesn't have a face gen? That sounds terrible. :-(


Does anyone know if a way to just give everyone a face gen...Really killing the experience no pictures at times.

If you're on a PC the path is basically

C:\Users\User\Documents\Out of the Park Developments\OOTP Baseball 16\saved_games\YOURLEAGUE.lg\news\html\images

Go the player folders pictured below, person pictures and profile pictures, and empty their contents, but of course leave the folders intact. Backup the league, if you have any doubts or worries. There's a file called faces.dat in your league file and that should regenerate all of your original faces, so you don't lose the ones you have now, and generate new facegens for those 'on demand' as your setting indicates.

Hope that does the trick. PM me or post here if you have any difficulties, but IIRC this solved any problems I'd had in the past.

Okay. I've had huge problems with FaceGen this year. It is seemingly random in working versus not.

I finally got one league to start where I had plaques in HOF and FaceGen in HOF and FaceGen for players as well and the first thing I did is pull the news/images folder out of that league and copy to the desktop. Any new league I start now I just replace that folder with the copied one.

Pretty cumbersome but it works so long as the format of your league is same (in my case the MLB 2015 QuickStart).

Excellent solution!! Worked for me in my historical league where only 1 out of 100 pictures were being displayed accurately!!

going to try this asap.....right after I get done running the "force update/generate all players pictures" function (for 3rd time) cause facegen on Mac this year has been shoty. seems like every time I load the lg I lose 10% of the pics and almost 50% of all the "little" images don't show up.

Also, I seem to lose a lot of FaceGen pics if I switch between "window" and "full screen" mode? I vaguely remember this being an issue in past releases, is there our should there be any issue with doing that? Also, does screen resolution have an affect on FaceGen displaying?
