Fictional team in historical league

If I start a historical league and replace one of the teams with a fictional team, is that doable? Would I need to uncheck the import league history box so the fictional team has its own history? Or can I just delete a team and replace it with my own team without messing up the history of the rest of the league?

You can't create a fake history out of nothing. Any club you create will always have no history until they play games. You can certainly add fictional teams to a historical league (though you may need to convert the league to a fictional league first -- make a fictional league, move all the teams from the historical league to the fictional, delete the historical -- only do this if you can't find a way to add to the historical league). Adding your own team should not mess up league history too much for the other teams, though your record books may have issues if you're changing leagues on it as I mentioned.
