Retired Number Logic Way Off

The game is great but the retired number feature has issues. My league's best player ever, who played with the same team throughout his career did not get his number retired by his team. But I've seen borderline 5th ballot hall of famers get their number retired by a team they played with for a few years. This is not an isloated incident, I see it happen constantly. A very large amount of my league's best players who are all HOF and spent at least half their career with one team dont get their number retired. I have to continually go in and do it manually which is time consuming.

Anyone else see this as well?
