Daft Pick Identification
Hello
Is there a way to see information on draft picks indicating the team from which they were acquired? I have multiple same round picks, acquired through trades, and I want to be able to see which team they came from so I can trade some that are not as valuable as others based on projected draft order. thanks |

I mean the draft picks a team has before the draft. For example, during the season, I make a few trades and end up with 3 first round picks for the draft. 1 is mine, and the others are from 2 other teams. My record is great, resulting in a worse pick slot, and the other two teams have bad records, making their draft picks better. I want to trade the pick associated with my record, but not the ones associated with the teams that have poor records. How can I see which pick is associated with which team so I know which are more valuable before the draft?

"Daft pick"? Yeah, I think we've all made a few daft draft picks at one point or another.

If only there WAS a way to identify those daft picks before they happen!
Per your question I'm not sure if you can see that

Someone posted a workaround for this at some point. Unfortunately, I can't quite remember what it was.

I don't trade draft picks, but I do like to know where my draft picks come from (FA compensation, failing to sign last year's pick, etc.), so I actually keep track of it all in a spreadsheet each year. It's kind of daunting, but I don't know of any other way.
I think for OOTP 15 I actually requested that Markus add the functionality to indicate in the draft order screen which picks came from where (and whether or not they were protected). That would work for you in this instance, because say you mouse over one of your first round picks, it could say "Acquired in trade with BAL on 7/30/65" or something like that. Maybe we can see it in OOTP17. |
