Ratings
How do ratings evolve as the season progresses? An example I am seeing is that Kershaw started the season with a 67 (out of 80) rating. After 2 good games giving up 1 earned run in total, his overall rating is now 74.
So do the ratings go up and down based on each game's performance? |

What you are seeing is your scouts assessment of their ratings. The actual ratings may not have changed.

Ratings change, it is not directly attributable to performance.

Is rating change during the year also related to playing time and age?

The ratings are a reflection of the players' projected stats. Anything that changes those projected stats (age related development or decline for example) will show up in the ratings. With the caveat, that the ratings are a broader representation of the stats - a wide range of K rates will fit in to a 50 stuff rating, for example. |
