AI control minors, leave 40-man alone

I am new to the game and love it. I only have one complaint. I am in Commissioner mode and am managing a team. I wish there was a way to allow the AI to manage promotions/demotions/free agents etc for the minor leagues only. I want to control all aspects of the 40-man roster, lineups, starting rotation etc., but leave the minors to the AI.

Is there any way to do this?

I am tired of rebuilding my pitching staff and lineup after every sim I run. Also, the AI is putting people from my 26-man roster on waivers when I want them to stay where they are. I've lost a couple of players because of this...it is very frustrating.

If I select "Prevent any AI roster changes" then there is absolutely no player movement at all in the entire organization. I want the AI to control the minor leagues and leave the 40-man alone.

In figure 1, as you can see, I have myself in charge of all roster movements:

But in figure 2, you can see that the AI still made a roster move from AAA to MLB rosters

Any thoughts as to why this is happening?

I notice you are in Act As mode with Jays. Were you not hired? Did you not select them when you created the game? Are you GM and Mgr?

I am the Manager and GM. I'm brand new to the game and I am not sure about what I did when I first set it up, but I am the Manager and GM and I cannot be fired.

Hmmm...that begs more inquiry. I 'think' you cannot be Acting As and be confident all moves will be honored. If you're not in the mood to search the manual for the Act As phrase, I'll be at it within the hour I think and I can look. I need the refresher. I suspect it has something to do with. I already checked to make sure you didn't have the Do Not Disturb box checked. So now we're on to this part. And welcome to the game!

Thanks for your help endgame. I appreciate you looking into this. I suspect you may be onto something. I am looking around in the manual to see if I can figure it out, but am very thankful for your input.

No worries. I don't know much, but I usually know how to find the answer or who has it at least. We'll figure it out.

Okay, here's the important reference. In addition, I'd search for commissioner mode and you'll see a contents page to the left with Getting Hired included in it. I'd read it and the associated concepts. Hope this helps.

Brilliant. Thanks so much. I did manage to figure it out on my own without seeing that help page. But your advice was key. It all came together when I fired Ross Atkins and hired an assistant gm.
I love this game!!!
