Offseason Bug? Green player names, mystery games played
With this league in question, were in the off season. We've just completed FA, and are coming up on the 1st game/sim of the season.
this is an online league, which im not the commish of. heres the problem... On the transaction screen and the roster screen, there are some player names that are green. Normally they should be white unless injured, but they are green. http://www.bmnetwerks.net/~disola/trans.gif (about 200k gif, sorry) For the players who are in green, the game thinks they have played a game, in the offseason. Please see this image of Jimenez, it says hes had 3 AB's in 2004, but we havent played any games in 2004 yet. http://www.bmnetwerks.net/~disola/jimenez.gif and on the standings screen, we have guys with 11 game hitting streaks and other stats. Also, we have a player who broke his finger (in the off season??) and there is no record of his injury anywhere. http://bmnetwerks.net/~disola/standings.gif Ive seen the mysterious green player name font brought up before, but i havent seen these other 2 issues. The leagues commish sees this as well, so its not limited to my comp (as do everyone who uses this league file ![]() What gives? Can i send this league file to someone for further inspection? (Steve, Markus? )

It sounds like there may have been some games scheduled during the off-season maybe. Not entirely sure if this is the case. My other thought is that a new schedule was created during the off-season (which sometimes may change the league date) and a game or two was inadvertantly played during this time. Then, the league date was fixed.

good idea Sporr, thanks. 2003's schedule wasnt made with Stickware Schedule maker, but 2004's was. So maybe this happened. I dont know how this is going to effect things, hopefully itll all reset once the 1st sim of the year takes place

One thing you may want to have the Commish try. There's an option in league setup (maybe advanced league setup) that Resets the stats for that season. This should clear out the game that seems to have been played for those guys. But, I would make sure to make a backup before trying this in case it really screws things up.

I have seen all three of these happen independantly of one another or together.. All three I have seen happen if a sim is started and the game crashes before the games are saved, or mid game, or mid sim, or other similar scenerios.
The game records the results in different places at different times. You can usually see things show up in box scores on player cards, or on standings pages that dont show up in the schedule anywhere. Might not be the case here, but a crashed sim can cause all of these to occur. |

Im pretty positive this showed up when we were in the offseason, after start new season was pressed.
Were now into the 1st week of the season and the green player names are gone, but the stats they accumulated during that mystery game are still accounted for. I dont want to play 163 or 164 games this year :/ |
