I just downloaded this patch. I'm playing a solo fictional league. Everything seems okay so far. I traded a player and the facgen updated their uniforms. And in honor of George Steinbrenner, I fired my manager.

I bought the game last night, received the receipt at 8:36, but was emailed the promotion at 8:17. I was charged $44 CDN. Should I not be eligible for the $10 off? I mean, come on!

Edit: I was forwarded the email, so apparently I bought the game literally minutes before the promotion was sent out. Is there any way I can get $10 back? I mean, I don't have a problem paying 40, I just think it's a bit ridiculous that the sale is advertised for July 12th to July 19th, I bought it late on the night of the 12th, and don't get the deal.

I currently have OOTP11. how can I get any updates and if so is their a charge. This is my 1st purchase and I just think the game is great.

If you bought it from this site, a simple download and running of the update will do. If you bought it on another site, you must download from that site.

I think it's a real problem that we're not able to alter the facial hair on imported fg files. I'm perplexed that options were removed altogether.

I've been helping to assemble the facegen sets, and for the most part, we've been doing it with the idea that facial hair can be added for guys.

I think it only messes up if it's a real player .fg file. Because there are already files in the .fg file folder.

You can still add facial hair. After you import the fg file, go and change the team's uniform. Then go back to the player and all the options are there. Strange.

Good find, DT. I went into my game and clicked "update this teams photos" (or whatever it says). Then I went to the roster page and clicked on a player, and voila!!!!....there were all the picture options we had pre-latest patch. As you said, "strange". I also had to go through and do that with all 32 teams in my league. I tried to update them all from the Game Setup page, but no dice. Thanks again.

Will the 11.2.5 updates take effect in a league created in 11.1.8? In particular I'm interested in the feeder league pitcher issue.

I just created a league (and did a lot of season by season simming) and want to know if I should start over with a fresh league before I go any further.

I just found that the Windows version updater did not contain the latest text file (/text/english.xml)

I built and uploaded a new updater now, it's available at http://www.ootpdevfiles.com/ootp/ootp11update.exe

For those who do not want to install the whole updater again, please update the english.xml file manually. It's available here: http://www.ootpdevfiles.com/ootp/ootp11_text.zip

The english.xml file that comes with the new downloads contains a date/time stamp at the top of the file to make it easier to check the file version.

The full installer did contain the latest version of the english.xml, so if you used the full installer to install 11.2.15, you do not need to do anything.

Sorry for the hassle! There's always something to improve I guess.

Note: The only thing the english.xml file affects is in-game text such as news articles and, most importantly, play-by-play text, which has been enhanced significantly.

Yes there are ways to finagle it so that the options appear. Another way is to just create a baseball card of the player. This just isn't an optional setup. And the changes to real .fgs wont stick after you restart the game.

Not sure if you already saw this, but this is what I found on one of the pages:

Ok, I would like to make sure things are clear, for me at least.

I am running a solo, fictional league using facegen pictures for all my fictional players. I haven't had any problems with the face gen pictures so far. If I install this patch, what's going to happen to their pictures and/or the menu to be able to assign beards and such. Will I lose the ability to assign beards and staches and will their pictures update when moving to a new team? (I'm not sure why facegen was "fixed" since I never had a problem with them once I removed all the real player pictures?)

Also, do I really have to go to add on central and redownload and re-install all the mods I'm using for them to remain in effect for my game?

Just want to be clear before I mess up a saved game where I've played out every game and I'm in September now.

Any help with these few questions would be great. There seems to be conflicting reports from some game users and the list of "fixed" problems on the website. It appears, by some who posted in this thread, the "fix" actullay "broke" facegen again.

For the "Fictional Facegens" there does not appear to be any issue. All of the issues are with historical facegens.

You should not have problem after patching.

I would like to state though that for the most part the historical facegens are also working fine now with .16. There are some minor issues (facial hair not sticking) but it is definitely not a game breaker and most users will not notice the issue. But for some it is pretty important.

Thanks also for fixing the first Windows link in the OP which yesterday contained 0 KB as several posters pointed out. The tin foil hat crew up here in Toronto thought it was a conspiracy and that the CIA was plotting against us. Thankfully damientheomen3 weighed in from Jersey and threw some cold water on that theory, allaying our fears of such sinister plots.
