Hello, was wondering if anyone could help me set up widgets on our frontpage that would update automatically each sim (when statslab is updated).

I've toyed around with it myself and copy and pasted the info in the .php files to our frontpage and got it to display. However, it would not update automatically.

If anyone could point me in the right direction I would greatly appreciate it.

Anyone use dynamic widgets with wordpress? I've got the idea about how to do it but having trouble with "contain" tag with wordpress.

I use a small php script with the include command. PM me and I'm more than willing to help out. I use a different CMS than wordpress but as long as you are setup so that the admin of the site can use php script in a "block" you should be ok to get it to work.

It's a custom widget for the standings in his league since they don't base their standings on simple W-L record.

Frank, I came across a couple bugs on the Awards Voting page. Page is OTBA - Hank Aaron Award (BOY) - StatsLab for OOTP11.

Errors are:

Warning: asort() expects parameter 1 to be array, null given in ../ootpsqlou/eos_ballot.php on line 1190

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in ../ootpsqlou/eos_ballot.php on line 1192

We don't have sub-leagues, just one league with 3 divisions. Could that be the issue?

This probably means you don't have your qualifications set to identify any eligible candidates.

Here is a plugin I wrote to add StatsLab widgets to a wordpress blog via the sidebar. It can also be downloaded from http://http://uabl.aeoliandigital.com/downl...p_statslab.zip. Simply extract it to your worpress wp-content-> plugins folder, activate and add to your sidebar.

EDIT:Plugin updated to version 1.0.1 to make it more intuitive.

can someone please give me an example of the path I should put into this widget? I still can't get it to work and believe its probably how I'm entering the path. Thanks

It would be the full path to the widgets file starting from the HTML root on your web server. You may need to check with your web host what the full html path is.

On most Linux/Apache servers the path looks like "/var/www/html" or "/var/www/htdocs". On some hosts it may be something more simple like "public-html". You'll have to check your hosts documentation or your control panel.

So if you widgets are in a sub-folder path like "reports/widgets/html" the path would look like "/var/www/html/reports/widgets/html/".

Hope that helps. If I can get some time I might try to add a common folder path as a plug-in option.

If you've downloaded the 2.2.0 - BETA, please do not use the Live Draft module. After some further testing with it, it can't handle the full volume of a league's worth of GM's trying to use it at the same time. I'll have to rework it.

1. Cqn i use this in solo leagues?
2. I am not the commish of my online league, is it a crime to use this and what benefits can i see for both?

Having used this app on an online league I used to belong to, I think I can answer both your questions, CF76.

1. Not too sure about this, but I believe statslab is a very helpful tool, specifically meant for use in online leagues. It allows GM's to access sections featuring awards voting, trade blocks, detailed stats and ways to assess player development throughout the season, among many other things. But given the app's nature, I don't think it was meant for solo play.

2. Every member of an online league featuring statslab can make use of the app. It's no crime...unless the league's Commish has given you no password to gain access to it, I guess.
