Spritze's db for OOTP14

There has been a change to the database/csv/odb format for OOTP14 so earlier versions will not work with it.
I'll have an OOTP14 version of the db available within a few days of release.

This includes all previous custom DB's? Not working with 14 I mean.

So, does that mean, that, doing a import dance, from a previous version wont cut the mustard either?

That'd move your current stuff but the next year would bomb without an updated db AFAIK. You'd need to try it to know for sure.

All I know for fact is that the format of the master.csv has changed. Which normally means old db's go dead.

I tested a few seasons without any trials nor tribulations. This DB has the new OOTP14 format.

I am just confirming that the database includes minor league players, Negro League and Japanese (Spritze High School Player database)??

Also, when is the best time to import my saved league to OOTP14? Right now in my dynasty it is February 1st in the off-season.

I am sure Spritz will confirm but yes I believe it also has PCL players. OOTP recommends converting right after the regular season or before your new season. I have converted at all points and never had an issue.

Markus undooded the OOTP14 database changes so now the old databases will still work. Yay!

Is the one on the site the incorrect/update for OOTP14 that never was?

Basically can we get your DB with the 2012 season and will it work on OOTP14?

Okedoke. I'm pretty sure that all those last columns in the master.csv are holdovers from days long gone by anyway so it should work without them. If their needing and update shouldn't be too difficult.

Over the weekend I'm going to get a quasi update to my database based off this one if anybodies interested.

I don't have the time anymore to update it to perfection. I'm figuring everybody will import with the right team and professional debut except for the 2011 and 2012 rookies, who will debut the same time as in SpritzeHSDB (18 years old) and with the team they made their MLB debut. Also, for 2011 and 2012 the team they import on will be the 1st team they made an appearance with.

Since my DB is for historical players mainly this shouldn't be too big a deal for most. (At least for me

). I will keep the setup where neutralized statistics will need to be used so complete accurate histories and stats will be imported. I'll still keep it only containing a limited number of Asian players.

Pretty much everything else will be the same as the original SpritzeDB.

The extra columns are required for Random Debut play.
