Question
If I sign an international free agent to a major league contract for let's say, one year, what would happen after the year? Would he become a free agent? Or would his contract get automatically renewed because he only has one year of service time. I'm guessing he would become a free agent. Sorry if it's a stupid question!

If you sign him to a major league contract it should be renewed like any other first year player due to his service time.
