				Love this game

And here's another reason I love this game. I'm playing the Washington Senators from 1959 to whenever. No injuries, no finances and no trades. This player Barry Shetrone was on Baltimore when I started the league. I've had no ratings changed or interference with this player. In real life he made it to The Show but only briefly. In iOOTP he is having a pretty darn good career. Not HOF caliber put a good day in day out player. I'm at the All-Star break right now. Last edited by phillupi; 04-23-2014 at 07:48 PM. |

For me it's a double edge sword. Its great to see things like this but its also weird when I had Ron Hassey lead the league in average and come in 2nd in both HR's and RBI & end up with over 300 HR's while Andre Thornton ended up only having a cup of coffee in the bigs.

I didn't like it at first - guys like Gibson, YAZ, and Marichal (injuries) flameouts while Duke Carmel (my Barry Shetrone) makes the 1964 All Star team. Now I love the surprises as long as the majority of historical players have recognizable skills. I hope Thornton does better in my game...I picked him up as a rookie (2 star/5 star) to replace Norm Cash at 1B. |

Marichal for me. Drafted 1st overall. Remember I have injuries disabled. | |

Marichal was a #1 prospect for me too. He finished just 29-27 w/ 3.63 ERA for his career (1960-64) after a series of arm injuries did him in. On the other hand, Koufax was close to the real thing. Retired in 1968 after an elbow injury but went 187-109 2.91 ERA for his career and was 5 shy of 3,000 Ks. |
