Having an issue with the SPRITZE DB in ootp 15

Hi Guys,

So I am having a strange issue with the Spritze DB in OOTP15.

I am using the latest version.
I pointed to the correct historical ODB

When I import a historical player whose ID is in lowercase, everything is fine.

But when I import a historical player whose ID IS ALL IN CAPS, no stats import. The name, birthday, height, etc, all works fine. But the only part I care about, namely their position and ratings, don't import.

I checked the batting/fielding/pitching DBs, and the players do have stats there. Is this a case of the players in question having so little data to track that OOTP makes them fictionalized?

I'd assume I did something wrong, except the lowercase folks are importing just fine.

Any help appreciated.

I can decap player ID's easily enough. They might have changed something in OOTP15. I just put a new version of the db out a few minutes ago. It still has caps of course. I'll try to get a decapitated version uploaded Sunday.

Thanks! It's such a great addition to the game. Even if I only was able to use the names, it would have been a lot easier than creating the players myself.

Will the new version be in the same place you PMed me awhile back?

Same place. The issue is not caps it is that even though one picks neutered stats lots of stuff is pulled from the non-neutered stats. To fix this i just made both of the data sets the same. The new one on the ftp site has this change. Please post if this does fix the challenge.

They must be imported based on neutralized stats NOT real life stats

That is your issue, not the DB's

you can import the uppercase guys using lowercase in the import process as well.

Unfortunately, it does not. I tried Bud Fowler, Sol White, Grant Johnson, and Benjamin Boyd, all players that didn't work for me before, and they still didn't work. I even tried different import years, taking out the player adjustments for low ab/ip, etc but got same result from the 5/31 down.

But lower-case Frank Grant imported just fine.

Note to Carlton: I though of that, tried it both ways, no dice, that's why I went to the forums.

This effects a very small batch of players, even when just working with the Negro league guys, so even if I only get their names and have to guess at stats, it's still better than nothing. Just really strange.

The Spritze HS Database has been decapitated and is available in the usual place.

Please let me know if this works more betterer.
