Did anyone find a workaround for players claimed/traded/etc staying on the 40-man roster?

Their team name becomes their own name, and there's no way to get rid of them...others have posted this, but I have three of them clogging up my 40-man roster and I'm hoping there's a way someone has found to get rid of them (deleting them, retiring them, etc. doesn't work, and they can't even be used as if on the roster).

I know I read about this before, so it's not just me. I really, really, really hope the next patch has a fix for this, at least....

It would help, at least, to hear that the next patch will address this.
