Decisions Decisions Decisions

I believe I will be second in line for the next year draft. Either Jessie Burkett or Cy Young

in my sims - Cy Young has always done well, but so has Burkett really. i tend to think pitching is the first step to building a contender, so i'd lean towards Young.

Really can’t go wrong with either player.

I would go with Cy Young.
There are plenty of good hitters but how many pitchers could give you 400 +wins? Provided you keep him for a whole career.
I would never pass on Cy Young, Christy Mathewson or Walter Johnson just as I would not pass on Cap Anson, Honus Wagner or Ty Cobb for that early era of baseball.
But now if you use random or have recalc off that would be a different story.
Burkett is good but I just dont think he matches up with Young in value over the long haul.

After 2 seasons
Cy Young was out for most of his rookie season. Burkett was traded from Louisville to Columbus.
