Crappy Trade Offers

I keep getting these really bad trade offers from teams. Some very low starred minor leaguer for one of my good players. How do I stop this other than making the player unavailable?

Until the trade logic is improved, you can't fix it.

I find it frustrating as well.

Why not make the player unavailable?

Because he's not necessarily unavailable.

i get 'em all the time. sometimes i don't even bother to click "REJECT" i just delete the offer. especially when i have i only want prospects at this point in my team needs, and i get offered a 34 yr. old 3rd string short stop for a CF that is 26 and finished 3rd in the MVP voting ..... that doesn't even deserve a reject box. only wish i could say "This is as close to an insult ...." (well, that's the cleaned-up version ...)maybe that feature will be in 20, the ability to tell off the other GMs like they can when you offer something a bit insane in their minds.

You don't have to respond to the offer at all. It eventually expires. It is one way to combat repeat offers of the same lousy player from an AI team, because the AI can't offer him again while still waiting for your response to the first offer. However, the AI can offer different lousy players for your great player and all of those can be open at once. But you can just ignore them.

This would be a nice feature. A turn of the tables. A 🖕🏻to the AI GM.

LOL I really hope this happens! I got offered many 35+ year old players that would barely be reserves for my organization, for my all-star and even mvp caliber players. I tried to turn the tables and offer a fringe geezer in exchange for the #1 rated prospect and their response was something like "This is the worst offer I have seen in my entire career" which sums up my feelings exactly with 99% of the trade offers I get in my box.

i delete these messages immediately. never any repercussions

if the ai thinks you have a weakness, it will inundate you with offers. one thing you can do is add entire team, or most of it, to the 'do not trade' list.

Rosters and Transactions - Trade Status tab [sic] -- if not, it should be nearby and obvious from label. drag drop players to no-trade list.

it does give you insight into what that team wants. you can take advantage of that knowledge if an opportunity presents itself in the form of a useful asset that they possess and you want.

In my experience other teams keep offering the same crappy players, they only change who they are asking for if I refuse the trade. If I tell the team offering a player that I am not interested in that specific player they will stop offering the player. FWIW that seems to work pretty well for me. YMMV.
