That exit velocity for a 500 ft HR doesn't really seem possible lol

What direction and speed was the wind?
Read an article and it indicated the top exit velocity measured is about 122 MPH and that will result in a distance just over 500 ft with no wind (and proper launch angle and backward ball spin). For every 1 mph tail wind, it will add about 4ft to the distance.

Where are you guys seeing exit velocity? I have dug as deep as I thought possible and never saw EV. Where is it? And is there launch angle too?

Game was played indoors at Tropicana Field. No wind, I believe the pitch was a breaking ball, modern 3D camera, had to check out the log right away, because the ball looked launched, more then half way up the batters eye in center, alittle towards the right, pretty cool.

Exit velocity is in the play by play (at least the short PBP). It is just a cosmetic number. They do not have launch angle, exit ball spin, etc.. Also pitch speed and type of pitch plays a roll in exit velocity.

Looking at the statcast board on MLB.com,, the last time a home run was hit over 490 feet was 2017. The longest home run that year was by Judge, 495 feet. The exit velocity was 118.6 MPH.
