Searching how to create real players to recreate a college season
I work at a university and am looking for a way to help our fans get a baseball fix without having it live right now.
My goal is to pick four of our recent teams and have them play a 36 game season (two three-game home series and two three-game road sets against each other). The three-game sets are typical for college baseball. I would run them on consecutive weekends (starting Feb. 14, 2020 on the calendar).
I really would like to use the actual players from each respective season, but being fairly new to the game, I am not sure if (or how) I can put together those real players for this attempted endeavor.
It is going to just be a one-season simulation, updating fans daily on the progress of the league. I would just like to use their historical stats from that year as a barometer. If I had to breakdown every player's skill set, I am not sure I could do it.
Is there an easy way to accomplish this without having to do all the bells and whistles or creating players?
Thanks.
