Restart season

I found a post on OOTP 14 that suggests that you cannot reset the date to preseason once you have started your league season.

I managed to start a season without scheduling games for every team. I thought I had a schedule, but after playing a few days realized I did not - which is odd as I had a full pre-season schedule.

Anyhow, now that I've come to the conclusion that the team doesn't have any games I'd like to turn back time to just before opening day, create a schedule and keep the rosters as they are.

I've seen mention that you have to play out the first season, but I really don't want to do that.

Any suggestions?

do you have a back-up of your game from before the season begins? if so you could restore the game to that point and then get your schedules in. There may be other ways, but they are unknown to me if they exist.

What mitchkenn says is the only way I know of.

Just a suggestion. Once you create a league and have it set up,, make a backup. From the Backup make a test league. Fast sim the test league out about 10 years and look for obvious errors. Doing this has saved me several times.

No backup. I spent weeks putting the league together, hopefully there is something I can try.

I seemed to have found a way to solve my schedule issue/restarting issue.

I saved the game as a template. Started the historical league that I had originally started with. Deleted all the major and minor league players for each team. Removed each team from the MLB.
Moved all the teams into MLB from my templated league.
Removed all the MLB minor leagues.
Reassigned all the templated league minor leagues to MLB.
Removed the templated league.

Then cleared the existing schedule and created a new one.

So I am back to day one of the pre-season, but much better than having to re-import all the players I had added.
