Time to introduce you to the Arizona Canyoneers' Hitting Coach, Craig Lucey. This personnel profile may be a bit longer than average, but if it is, then so be it. With that said, then, and with no further ado, so to speak, let's start trying to get to know him at least a little bit better here, if we can and all, everyone.
Craig Lucey was born on September 17, 1894 in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa to Wallace and the former Ruifrapso Sokumi-born Chushana Kyzehuna as their eldest son and child of three boys and five girls overall, two of them adopted from Ghana as orphans, one boy and one girl, with those orphans being Elolo and Ozigbodi, the boy being Elolo. His younger biological siblings are from oldest to youngest, Barnum, Faleris, Dalpha, Areletta, and Pauline. Elolo and Ozigbodi are twins about a dozen yearse younger than Craig. Craig and his siblings, whether biological or adopted, ultimately grew up as the children of an American diplomat and an artist/novelist/journalist. While growing up, he and his siblings were often outside the United States or Ghana, even after their parents had adopted two Ghanaian orphans into their family, in truth. By the time Craig was a teenager, he was fluent in English, Slaabinese, Spanish, French, Hebrew, and Portuguese, for sure. He was also somewhat fluent in Arabic, Italian, Greek, and Latin. He also could communicate at least a little in several other languages and/or dialects, but still wasn't all that good at doing so in them, for sure. By the time he was out of high school, he was a good baseball player and an above-average student, at least, in most, though not all, of his classes. Ultimately he ranked third overall in his class, academically-speaking, for various reasons, in his life. And he was satisfied, for the most part, with his academic ranking for his high school class at Mt. Pleasant High School, in truth. When he finished his time in high school in 1913, he took about six or so years off to serve in the United States Armed Forces as a soldier. Eventually he soon found himself fighting in various battles, mostly in Europe, but also in Africa and the Middle East. When the First World War was over, he soon met his future wife on their ways back to the States just before sailing on a big ocean liner. One thing led to another, in due time, and by the time the ocean liner finally reached American shores near Jacksonville, they'd already decided to get engaged to each other somehow. Phoebe Knight met him while in the Jerusalem area on pilgrimage for her and on-duty for him, and they soon found themselves taken with each other. By the time they reached Florida in January 1919, they'd begun making plans to marry by the following autumn, even though Phoebe was still an English citizen at that time, having been born in York, England in 1899. They eventually got the required permissions, and they ultimately married in August 1919, in front of about fifty or so friends and relatives and others, at a decent-sized Iowa church in Waterloo, Iowa. They both spent four years at college attending the University of Iowa before both graduating Summa Cum Laude, much to the pleasure of many. After college, they soon saw Craig playing baseball on independent teams primarily in the Upper Midwest until he was finally unable to continue playing actively enough in his life around 35 years of age, by which time he'd already started moving into the coaching ranks. Phoebe and Craig began having children in 1930, and now they have five born children and one likely last child on the way. They now live in Flagstaff, but only just barely, at that. Craig met Justin Geissler one day while Justin was on a business trip to Chicago, right after the Second World War had ended in 1945. One thing soon led to another, including a job offer to be Arizona's hitting coach. When Craig wired Phoebe about the offer, she immediately wired back, "Take the job offer, or don't bother coming home until you do. Simple as that." He took the job offer, and the Lucey family left Iowa as quickly as they could after he did so for Arizona. Phoebe and Craig now hope to be able to spend the rest of their lives in Arizona, if at all possible, even after they can both no longer actually work to make a living for themselves in them. Especially Phoebe, at least a bit more than Craig, in truth. Their children may not want to, of course, but Phoebe sure does, at least. Picture(s) and certain other information will be shared later as possible and all, I'm sure. The next personnel profile that's most likely to be shared will be the one for the Arizona Canyoneers' Scouting Director, Danny Clayton. Please watch for it to be posted as soon as possible, of course, folks. Thank you for your time and all, everyone, as always. CD out.

Time to introduce you to the Arizona Canyoneers' head Scouting Director, Danny Clayton. I will also include the team's current uniforms at the bottom of this post, with their caps likely to follow in the next post after this one. I do not have any logos for this team, so if anyone wants to try and make some suitable enough ones for them, I'd really appreciate it here, of course. With no further ado, then, let's start trying to get to know at least a bit more about Danny Clayton and all here, as best as we can and all, folks.
Danny Clayton was born on September 9, 1892 in Gardendale, Alabama to Smento, a native of ancient Egypt somehow transported mysteriously through time to the mid-1880's while still apparently a teenager of about 15 years of age, and the former Julia Kanner, a 14-year-old-looking young native of an alternate timeline's version of Austria apparently from circa the 13th Century AD in it. His parents were each adopted, after their real families could not be found or identified sufficiently well, by families in the United States and in Greece, respectively. After adoption, they took on the last names of Clayton and Kanner, as a result, growing up in those nations until finishing high school in them both. Within five years of them mysteriously both appearing in the mid-1880's, his parents somehow met each other at college in Alabama. They then had a very quick courtship, and by November 1891, they were actually married to each other somehow. Danny was born himself less than a year later, as the son of a track athlete and an opera singer. He was soon joined as a member of his family by eleven other children before he reached his teenage years, thanks to there being two sets of twins and a set of triplets being added to his family by his parents before then. His family and he eventually moved to the American West, and especially to the American Southwest. Now his whole immediate family lives in that part of the United States, even his parents, in truth. Danny now speaks English, Spanish, German, French, Ancient Egyptian, and Greek fluently. He also has some, though not total, fluency in Arabic, Hebrew, and various American Indian (Native American) languages and/or dialects, along with a barely passable, yet still-broken, knowledge of Italian, Latin, Turkish, and Swahili, mainly. He also knows just a bit of Japanese and Mandarin Chinese, but is not yet capable of carrying on conversations in those two languages. Danny met his future wife Tirzah Okinyo while at college in San Francisco, California, with her being a native of Ethiopia, and the daughter of a mid-level counselor to the then-reigning Emperor of Ethiopia. One thing led to another, in time, and by the time they were both 25 years of age, they were married. Their children started coming in 1923, starting with triplets, and they eventually had their last child in 1945, a girl who was the last of fifteen overall children biologically, six of them girls, including three sets of twins and the aforementioned set of triplets. They have now spent most of their lives living all over the western United States since meeting each other. While Tirzah is now an American citizen, primarily by marriage, she never has renounced her Ethiopian citizenship, in truth and in any case. Their now-adult children all have yet to choose which nationality to claim as their only, if not primary, one, as well, for sure. Danny has been an amateur and international baseball scout for most of his adult life to date. However, he didn't officially get hired as a professional baseball team's head Scouting Director until right after World War II finally ended, in truth. With such a large family substantially dependent on his yearly income and his age at the start of America's involvement in the war, he was never officially called into military service during the entire war, for sure. However, he did help convince many to fight for the Allies against the Axis Powers in the war, just the same. Justin and Danny met not long after the Canyoneers franchise was formed. Some length of time later, then, the Canyoneers had themselves a head Scouting Director in the person of Danny Clayton. He hopes to help ensure fairly quickly that the Canyoneers will have a long run of success in the future, if he can, of course. Picture(s) and certain other information will be shared later as possible and all, I'm sure. The next personnel profile that's most likely to be shared will be the one for the Arizona Canyoneers' head Team Trainer, Luke Coffin. The team's current uniforms are below, and their caps are likely to be posted and seen here in the next post, for your information, folks. Please watch for his profile and the caps to be posted here as soon as possible. Thank you all for your time and attention and all here, as always, then, of course. CD out.
