What strategy would you vets use playing as GM with TB
I am new and want to start with Tampa and had numerous restarts. First year I got to the playoffs made it to the league championship And then lost. Restarted then I made it to the first round of the playoffs and lost. Then I started over again made it to the wild card and lost. I’m very new but my first instinct was to trade my centerfielder because he’s making a decent amount of money and my budget really not that big. I also want to trade the first baseman who’s making about 7 million and then he goes into arbitration I believe or three agency at the end of the year. My question is if one of you guys took this T-Mobile what would be your first thing to do how would you play it out.? Please let me know.

1 - Don't trade Adames to MIL
2 - Don't start over after every season 3 - More seriously, If you do trade Kiermaier, make sure you get a poor man's version of him, his value is with supreme CF defense more than his bat 4 - IF you're Only playing for 1 year (based on the constant restarting), then offload All the prospects. They're of no value to you if you're only playing one year, also zero out International Spending and Player Development in that case too 5 - You can cheese. Some players (at least in my start) are players that teams will try to trade away, like Ohtani (even though I adjust a lot of players before starting anything else, so Ohtani was even set to be a monster and LAA had no interest in keeping him) 6 - Are some players like JD Martinez who Boston will happily pay a massive chunk of his contract, great DH option if Boston is paying half his deal. Then can flip him the next year if needed to recoup assets (can tuck the mediocre high paid 1B into a Martinez deal, I'm sure) 7 - Trade the 3 top RPs that TB starts wiith (Castillo, Fairbanks and Anderson started off top tier in my last start). They can help strengthen other areas and you can bring in "2nd tier" type relievers in place. SD was quick to offload guys like Kela, Melancon & Pagan, for example I also play with trade difficulty at 10, so if you play at normal settings, then I can't imagine how easy it is to pry guys like Ohtani & Martinez |
