Decades Franchise League Help Needed
Hey All,
I am in the process of creating an All-Time Franchise League for all original 16 teams between the years 1900-1919. Using the Baseball-Reference Stats website, I have just finished compiling my rosters.
While optimal, I realize I cannot be concerned with players playing only for one team (for the sake of realism). Home Run Baker, for example, played for both the Yankees and the A's those years. He was an integral piece for both teams and, therefore, should play for both. However, I would like to use the stats he compiled only while playing with each team (i.e. He batted .321, OPS .845 with PHA and .288, OPS .751 with NY).
My question is: I know I can import him twice (or duplicate him) and edit his stats inside the game, but they are just the basic batting and pitching stats. I cannot adjust defense, speed, etc. Plus it would take hours/days to edit almost 500 players (yikes!). Anyone know a way to do this quickly and easily?
If not, is there any way to import a players entire career into a league...or only specific years?
If I've left out any pertinent details, please let me know...thanks guys!
