So, I Heard You Want More Control Of Daily Lineups...
...Will this work? (Via the OOTP Twitter)

Why not just bring back 7 day lineups? Wasn't that in 19 or so.

It looks like it is no longer "7-Day" lineups, you can go further (using arrows). I imagine online leagues that sim longer periods will appreciate that.

Why is this only posted on twitter?
If they're posting something there why isn't it done here at the same time? |

Look at the image - there's no tab for 7 day line-ups. Appears they've been replaced with "Daily Lineups", or renamed and revamped for lack of a better term.

Yeah, I'm just not seeing (yet) what the difference is, I guess beyond being able to go more than 7 days ahead which seems pretty niche in most cases to me.

Can you explain a little what the difference is between this and the current 7-day lineups, other than ability to set a lineup more than a week in advance?

As to the question of what the difference is between this and 7-day, I would have to look into that a bit more and/or have someone more knowledgeable about it than I answer that.

I'm sure we can dig into more details later. Some points on this:
-You can set lineups up to a month ahead of time -You can pre-define an alternate lineup if the handedness doesn't match (as opposed to relying on your default lineup) -Hard to show on a screenshot, but it's much better tied into the custom lineups. So that you can either basically say "this game, use my default lineup, whatever it happens to be", or you can say "use my custom 'Right handed power' lineup", or you can manually set a lineup for the game. So that if you change up a player in your 'Right handed power' lineup, all future custom lineups using that get automatically updated. Obviously not something everyone will use, but especially for the online league or PT worlds, it should give a lot better control over how you can manage your team going forward. |

I play each of my team's games out so this has no bearing on my enjoyment of the game either way.

As for if you play out every game, I still have found 7-day lineups to be a godsend even in stretches where I am playing out every game by hand. Both from a micro lineup perspective, and also from a larger macro perspective of planning roster moves. |
