Mission Rewards
Tell me your thoughts in relation to the following viewpoint on Missions...
It seems to me that a perfect balance of rewards for missions would ultimately provide usable cards to your team roughly as they are needed. In other words, "mission cards" would be useful upgrades to your team as the season progressed. As it stands now, however, mission rewards for most of the game year run far behind helping a player's roster until you finally get to the very end of completing missions and you pick up the absolute best players available. That said, one might argue that missions are not designed to provide competitive cards - but to assemble "collections". If so, is that a good use of all the time and effort put into missions? Another position might be that Missions are designed to entice players to spend money to build specialty tournament teams. What is your view of Missions in PT? And if it's not what you want, what SHOULD missions accomplish? |

My biggest complaint with missions would simply be that there are not enough of them. There's no good reason I can think of for not having new missions weekly. Just not good business. The way they added in those pack reward missions with the Rookie Sensations content is a perfect example of how easy it would be to add new missions every week. |

I no longer have a dog in this hunt, but I think the reward that would help the most is to have a 'reward' pack of an applicable level.
This wouldn't be the standard 6 pieces of junk pack. It would be a pack with 6 cards of roughly equivalent level, and properly levelled for that mission, but the recipient would choose 1 card to keep. This would allow players to choose the card that hopefully best fits their needs. If the standard reward card would have been a pitcher who would be 6th best in the rotation in a particular tournament format, instead you can choose that 3B that upgrades your tournament team. An upgrade to that would be that the prize for a specific tournament is a _____ pack, but the payer gets the option to choose any lower valued pack that would give them the best chance of getting a card they need at a specific format. If the prize was a diamond pack, the player could instead opt for 2 gold packs, 3 silver packs, or 4 bronze packs.
