Is Mike Trout an excellent starting pitcher?

Mike Trout rates an 80 on Overall / Potential as a starting pitcher although he has no pitching ratings.
His high starter Overall / Potential may be caused by his excellent hitting ratings.
Now that both leagues of MLB have adopted the designated hitter system, hitting ratings should not be included in Overall / Potential of starting pitchers, should they?

The game doesn't properly rate two-way players. I have a guy who is a mediocre starting LF and a #2 starting pitcher and he rates a 75 at LF.

I like how the game might lead one to believe that he'd be a good SP, but a terrible reliever. 100% scouting accuracy too.

minimum score of 20 doesnt equate to being a good pitcher LOL he would just lob the ball and give opponents some extra batting practice

Still worth it to have his bat in the lineup

I think for two way players, the game uses the highest overall between Hitting and Pitching to decide the overall of a player.

Granting that the larger issue is a bug, is the difference between the SP and RP overall ratings for Trout an indication that SPs get credit for their hitting ratings whereas RPs (who do not typically get any plate appearances) do not?

Is Mike Trout, as a starting pitcher without using DH, worth more than Clayton Kershaw?
Overall 80 means this.

What about Jacob deGrom as a 1B?
His rates are 35 contact, 25 power and 40 eye but his overall / potential is 54 / 49.
Is it difficult to exclude batting ratings from pitcher's overall / potential or pitching ratings from fielder's overall / potential?
