League system question

Here’s my question…

If you create a Indy league and then have kind of like a AAA league (development league) and then also a rookie league… even if you have 26 players on the main Indy league would the AAA and rookie players still be under contract with that Indy league playing for their rookie team or aaa team or would I have to create a 40 man thing like mlb has?

I'm not sure about this, but if your AAA and rookie leagues are properly affiliated with your independent league, then I would expect promotions, demotions and player contracts to be handled similar to how they are with MLB. But it probably also depends on your independent league settings and whether you have those set up to follow MLB rules and financials.

I have never done anything like what you are doing in OOTP, so you might want to search these forums for threads or posts about independent leagues and minor league affiliations. I found one thread, but it was 15 years old and it didn't address your specific questions. You could also try posting in the general OOTP 23 or OOTP 24 forum, where a lot of OOTP veterans regularly post and respond to these kinds of specialized questions.
