How do I speed up development slightly and slow aging slightly?

Is this what I want, or is it the inverse?

Yeah, that's how, although IME the development, especially for hitters, won't be super noticeable. I do have development turned way up (and aging cranked way down) with TCR way up as well. One side effect is that the draft feels a lot more like the NFL draft, with "hit rates" for 1st round picks being much, much higher.

I would recommend simming out 20 seasons or so (some of the questions, you might only resolve with like 50 seasons but that's also a lot of prep to do with agame) with the settings and seeing if you like the results. How many older players are in the league or still sitting on AAA rosters because they haven't had that aging drop-off the AI "expects"? How's the hit rate on prospects (depending on things, having an NFL-style draft might be a feature, not a bug)? Flattening the aging/development curve will also increase the overall talent level in the league; are you OK with the shorter careers and larger number of players getting like 300 AB seasons instead of 500+ AB ones that will come out of that?

Why would the careers be shorter? Wouldn't they end up being longer, if I have it set to where players develop faster, and on the other side age slower, wouldn't I end up with say... more 21/22 year olds in the majors lasting to ages 38/39 and getting longer careers? (If not, yikes, help, that's what I want)

Keep in mind that Dev and Aging target age does not affect dev and aging speed at all.

Dev Target Age of younger means that players will stop developing at a younger age. Aging Target Age of older means that players will start declining at an older age.

Unless you want more players failing to reach their potential, you may want to consider setting the development target age to normal. on the flip side, you do have speed a little faster and maybe you do want to see players peak sooner

Yeah I did some reading (and observing) and changed the settings slightly.
What I want is for a few more 21/22 year olds making it, and a fair few more 38/39 year olds still being viable MLers. I think this'll do it? And I'll end up with a few random 29/30 year olds making it for a few years?
