What's your first FHM12 Save Going to Be?
Like the title says, what are you planning to do for your first save in the new game?
I usually do a short save with a team that's already good as I wait for the first patch(e), so I might do three years of the Oilers right away. My longterm saves this year will be the Ducks (seeing if they can get over the hump without needing another rebuild) and Notre Dame hockey. What are y'all thinking? |

One of the Oilers/Sabres/Islanders with strict rules so I don't cheat the game.
The first one is initially easy but can get hard to stay competitive as all the core around McDavid ages out - the goal will be keeping the team competitive without having to rebuild (so essentially surrounding McDavid with talent without drafting in the top 10). The latter two I am hoping will be challenging although with Schaefer now on the Islanders that's probably somewhat of a cheat code. |

I always do an expansion team. I draft a few times and try different players out and, after the first patch, I start playing for real.
The team isn't great but I am also not saddled with players that don't fit the type of team I want to build. And, I consider my early test saves as a mock draft period...in real life, there are so many mock drafts before the real expansion drafts imagining what a team would be with different player combinations. |

I'm going to carry over the new league I just created in FM11. I'm starting small and working on slowly expanding the league over the years.

Playing FH for the first time ever and it has to be my hometown Chicago Blackhawks. My uncle was the timekeeper for 30 years and he may have let me wear one of the championship rings.

I'll probably just do a couple of test NHL sims where I don't play, just see how things shake out.
I don't start a 'for real' game until after the 1st patch.

Expansion save. It’s time for the Fargo Mustangs to take over the NHL.

The one I have been thinking about is keeping the Original Sens alive try and be dominant early but like in real life by the late 20's heading into the depression you have to sell off any high paid guys and become a budget team to survive
