What do I do with teams that have special characters in their names cus the game hates them and makes new boring generic logos

to fix this, at least on a (Wintel) PC is I search for the (existing) file of the logo (or player) under the graphics folder, right-click, rename, and copy the name of the file


then I rename the new file to what was here (right-click, rename, paste) and the overwrite the existing file

Any chance we can get this season NY Rangers logo? Looks like their normal but blue is their original blue with a different font.

That should be in the game by default. Go to Current Quickstart folder/graphics and copy/paste the logos you want from there into your save graphics folder.

Oh damn I thought it was an old logo I did not realize they changed it this year. Ill change it back

Actually I have looked into this more and I did not touch the rangers logo. The logo is the same as the base game. Disregard my previous reply.

it's much appreciated all the great work that many here on the boards do to provide us mods to these games

just an fyi, if there are any missing logos for your teams, but can't find them, it's actually pretty easy to create them yourself

(1) download the logo. eliteprospects.com has logos for just about every hockey team/program out there, if you search for them. once you find it, right click on the logo and save to your pc
(2) use an app, such as paint 3d on windows, to resize the logo to 150x150, and save as a .png file
(3) in your saved games folder <game install folder>/saved_games/<saved game>/graphics/logo_teams are the team logos, look for the file for the team, and note the filename. copy that file name, and rename the downloaded file to that name, then replace the file in the logo_teams with the new file

you will see the updated logo in the game the next time you load the game
