Generating more pure SPs for Draft
I have been trying to figure out how to keep the game from creating so many 2 pitch MR's for the drafts. Has anyone found a way to tinker with the creation modifiers to create more pure talented SP's versus high stamina MR's with 2 pitches?
Thank you! |

I've toyed with a couple of things, without much definitive answer.
First I've tried to increase stamina across the board, so that MRs with sufficient pitches but not enough stamina would be bumped up to an average-level SP. The second thing I've done is to increase stuff ratings, which in turn affects the quality of pitches (not too sure about whether or not it affects the number of pitches). I've found several MRs with high enough stamina ratings and super-high stuff ratings (10+/10) to be elite starters despite only throwing two pitches. |

I haven't really seen the problem in 11 even with feeders, as long as there are not too many feeders. Now having a good number of even decent starters is another story. There are plenty of minor league filler starters but few who have a chance to make the majors. Also note the AI really drafts position players hard first and SP with a pretty high priority. One of the reasons it seems like you have a lot of MRs is because the position players and SP tend to go in higher rounds.
If you want a SP that has a shot at the majors you need to draft him 1 or 2nd round. After that scrubs are mostly left. You can wait longer to get a closer/MR that is top notch but I think that is more because the position players go very fast too. |
