Fastest ever to 300 HR?

This guy just turned 24 before the start of the season, and has hit career HR 300 before the All Star break. Matter of fact, he is so good, He might be the first 5000 Hit / 1000 HR guy I have ever seen

Is he a super anomaly or are your league totals really ****ed up?

A player hitting .427 in a season would probably have be dialing offense down.

League make up is 24 teams. I started in 2012, however, the settings / league modifiers were set for 1950. Currently 8 season into the league, and the modifiers are now for 1958.

your HR modifier is a 62% increase from the 1958 default

Hmm, So can I assume Recalc is changing the modifier? I dont touch em, I just use the default settings from year to year.

Now of course, I have to consider if I want to continue with this league or trash it as the stats are now skewed.

Something is definitely fishy if you can have a 17-year-old who hit .320......

It's not fishy if that's what you want. I have a big universe that includes a tiny, low-talent-level foreign league (The Sao Tome Baseball Confederation), with high offense, bad defense, a 245-game schedule, and one park in the four-team league that's 225 down the RF line. A AAAA-type LH slugger plays half his games there, and is averaging almost a homer a game. He'll probably end up with close to 200 homers on the season if he stays healthy. This same guy got a few recent cups of coffee in the majors, but didn't stick.

Stuff like that is why I love OOTP. Life is boring if every league OPSes .730.

I'm paranoid about my modifiers. I never change them, but I always worry they'll change automatically so I check them sporadically. I like them all at the standard MLB (1.000), nothing more, nothing less.

Maybe I should check my modifiers. I use 1975 for my current league. Last year I had 2 players hit over .400 and 4 players over 45 HR.
