Looking for a Cubs team

Hello,

I am looking to purchase the game but only if I can find an available Cubs team to take over. Please shoot me a note if you can have an available Cubs team and are willing to help a newbie get going. I am a commissioner of a DM league and have been in the games since around 1975.

Thanks!

Tony

Ibelive the Cubs are open in the Random Debut Baseball League. We start modern 2014 then have random debut after that. You also get 1 team icon added to your team that is not a current HOFer. So you could have Sosa, Jamie Moyer, Wood or Luis Salazar.

Random after that? Icon? Oh oh, I may need to get to know more about this game. Can you provide a quick answer to what that means? I hope I don't come across as too "green" for this but will get into the swing once I get the game.

Thanks!

Visit the thread that I linked to. We are in the process of finishing the inaugural draft. Some of the players got in that draft are:
3B Miguel Cabrera, SS Andrelton Simmons, SP Mat Latos, SP Sonny Gray, SP Cliff Lee, SS Nick Franklin, SP Ryan Stanek, CF Phillip Erwin, C Derek Norris, & SS Adalberto Mondesi (Raul's son) So for the 1st 10 picks they have a good base of players.Good youth. We are supposed to finish the draft today. After this season we will be using a Gambo/Spritze Database that has 50 *** players many Negro league stars and many PCL stars along with full history of MLB players and they will come in random as rookies. So Babe Ruth 1914 as SP might come in. Rogers Hornsby, Ryne Sandberg, Bobby Hill, Prior, Lee Smith, etc. Some drafts will be better then others. Sim schedule is in the thread but I believe it is 7 days 2-3 times a week.
You can do random debut in game to get a feel of what it is like. I suggest starting with a season you know say 2012 or 2000 and setting it up for random debut using default DB to start with.

Oh, Icon, DUH, okay. I have a very busy schedule this week but would like a chance to take the Cubs. Can you please have the commissioner reach out to me? I will buy the game over the next day or so.

Thanks!

For the 3rd time visit the thread. It is your job to find a team not his job to reach out to you. Go to the thread and sign up.

I will. Didn't mean for it to come out that way just that I was asking about seeing if the commish was alright with a OOTP greenie.

I sincerely appreciate your help.

Thanks,

Tony
