Help with a standard league PLEASE!

Hi, I am back from a long break from OOTP...I just bought 17, and I am a bit intimidated by the huge amount of customizable settings! I started playing this great game in 2002, got away from it and I am back and very excited! But I need to pick the brain of a very knowledgeable person who knows the game inside and out..Im hoping I won't have to do very much at all! Here is my situation: I want to start a solo standard league, with the latest season, control as GM/Manager the Atlanta Braves team, but I want to pool all players and do an inaugural draft and play indefinitely into the future. I want to use financials. Allow the computer AI to control all of the other teams. Can I do that using all default settings? Not have to change anything? And if so, is there anything I need to do to my league at the end of every season? Anything in the settings I need to reset, or can I just keep playing year in and year out indefinitely?? Wish I knew when have of the settings even apply! Its intimidating! Love that I am playing again though! Any advice for me? Please tell me what I need to do..Hoping there isn't much I need to do! Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated! Be my hero and help me out! THANKS!

From the Start menu, click on "New Custom Game"

Choose "Create Real World League"

Make sure Major League Baseball is checked

On the next screen, click on "Advanced Mode"

In Advanced Mode, choose the "Options" tab, then check the "Inaugural Fantasy Draft: Hold Draft" box.

Then hit "Start Game" (which is now in the middle of the left-hand box. The team selection menu will appear, fill in your manager's name and details, and select Atlanta.

You'll now be able to have your inaugural draft with all the MLB players in the draft pool.

The default settings will take care of financials and AI control of the other 29 teams
