Automatic League Expansion question

Hey guys, I was wondering if with the Automatic League Expansion enabled, through time, I could have a city created despite the fact that the league operates in a specific region or state (this implying the territorial expansion of the league as well).

For example: if a team from LA could be created, despite the league operates in the East Coast

Yes. OOTP will not take into consideration the fact that your league is on the East Coast. Really hoping Dynamic League Evolution gets an overhaul and soon. Great idea, but it's basically a forgotten feature.

The way to get around that, I'm assuming, is if your league is locked to a specific region.

In the League Settings menu, click on the "League and Teams" tab, then select "Region (optional)" - in the drop-down menu, US Region: East Coast is one of the options. There's a ton of them, in fact.

I've not tried automatically expanding a league when I've set that option before, I've only expanding manually. In fact, I don't use Dynamic League Evolution works, full stop. Like David said, it needs an overhaul.

So guys, sorry for being repetitive, but I kinda want to get this right. So a team from LA be created by the game through league expansion even though the Region in the Basic league settings is locked in the East Coast, right?

Yes. OOTP does not consider region when expanding, it only considers the league nation.
