Historical seasons played into the future?

I am starting in 1977 when two 1st place teams play a best of 5 series to get to the World Series . As I continue this league 20 to 30 years into the future, will the best of 5 always remain the same since I started in 1977?

It will remain the same. You continue into the future with the same league structure as the year you start your historical replay.

i have a followup question to historical games:

say if you start in 1977 and continue to progress does the game generate fictional players, use historical players as they debut every year or do you need to buy a new season if you want those players to appear?

If you have the following season purchased prior to the draft you will get real rookies, otherwise the game generates fictional players.
