Matching Coaches and Player Styles

Coaches have different styles. For example, pitching coaches's styles are groundball, power, finesse and neutral. Hitting coaches have contact, power, patience and neutral.

So a couple of questions...

Are there corresponding styles or labels for the players? Or do I have to guess at their styles based on things like their stats or their groundball/flyball tendency, and their velocity?
if I hire, say, a power-focused hitting coach, will that adversely affect my contact hitters? Or does it boost their power? Should I hire coaches based on the style that I want to improve or based on the most prevailing style among my players?

just common sense stuff, and it's a small portion of the total puzzle if worried.

e.g. a coach who doesn't steal much with a team with many speedburners, that may not be best choice for that team... but could stil be the best available. other things are more important or can be.

it does influence who they will get along with on the team too. again, small potatoes compared to how talented your players are relative to winning games.

since we can't see coach ratings, i would bet that choosing based on best fit strategy is probably the best way to go. i circumvent that problem by making "me" as a coach

of course i have good coaching ratings... it's genetics. since it's me, it's completely kosher to change my strat sliders as i wish too.
