Changing a Starter into a Reliever
I have a SP who isn't as good as the rest of the rotation but is still pretty good, so I want to use him as a RP. Is my best option to just leave it as is and pitching him in relief or use Set Position to make him a reliever?

I would say set position. He should get a slight boost as a MR.

This is a little confusing to me, too. I asked about this in a thread in the general forum, so pardon me for cross-pollinating the sub-forums.

no, it's based on how they are used.*
i do not know about the ratings portion, however. you may indeed need to be in that role to get that portion of the difference. maybe that is automatic too. you do get a bump in stuff when changing roles -- visible on profile screen. that doesn't preclude it from being tacked on simply by being used in relief. To be safe on that front, make sure if they are in the pen they are labelled appropriately. if it's a rotation memeber moonlighting, not much you can do about that and should be extremeley rare occurence. *info based on somoene else's post a while back (sometime this year) with a similar question. |
